Yes, based upon availability. For information regarding a later check-out time, contact the Front Desk the evening before or morning of departure.

Where are you located?
Found on a lush, secluded peninsula in King Harbor, The Portofino Hotel & Marina is located at 260 Portofino Way in Redondo Beach, CA. Both the sunny neighboring beach city of Hermosa Beach and the family-friendly seaside playground of Redondo Beach sit just blocks away from our front door.

How close is the hotel from nearby attractions, parks, and shopping?
Known for being one of the best vacation spots for activities, Redondo and Hermosa Beach are home to many nearby attractions. Sailing, surfing, shopping, and entertainment are all within close proximity to the hotel. Most area attractions can be explored via our Complimentary Beach Cruiser Bikes!

What details do I need to know about your Complimentary Beach Cruiser Bikes?
Ride a little or ride a lot. The local oceanfront bike path here is flat and runs for over 27 miles up to Malibu! Our Complimentary Beach Cruiser Bikes are available, based on availably in 2hr time increments to all guests staying at the hotel. Bike rental is available from 7:00am each morning until sunset each night. Complimentary bike locks, baskets, helmets and children’s bikes are also offered based on availability. Guests will be asked to sign a waiver before checking out a bicycle. Happy trails!

Is there transportation available to/from the airport?
The Portofino Hotel & Marina is happy to contact our transportation partners to arrange transportation to/from the airport. Feel free to contact South Bay Yellow Cab to arrange for airport pick up. They can be reached at (800) 924-8294. For interested parties, please contact our front desk at 310-379-8481 for details on town car or luxury transportation.

Does your hotel provide parking?
Yes, we provide convenient on-site self-parking and valet parking for overnight guests and non-guests. Overnight Guest parking is $27 per night for self-parking and $27 per night for Valet Parking (with in/out privileges.) Fees are subject to change without notice. Please confirm directly with the hotel upon arrival.

Is there a place to charge my electric car?
Level 2 Electric Vehicle charging is available at Marina Bike Rentals. Marina Bike Rental is located 0.3 miles from the hotel front doors at 505 N Harbor Dr. Redondo Beach, CA 90277 Please call 888-998-2546 for more information. Standard fees apply.

What amenities are in your guest room?
Each room features A private patio or balcony with ocean or marina view, Flat screen 32" televisions in marina side rooms, 42" plasma televisions and DVD players in ocean side rooms, Energy efficient lighting, Custom designed bath amenities, Plush white terry bathrobes, In-room mini bar and refrigerator, In-room coffee makers, In-room iron and ironing board, In-room hairdryers and Complimentary wireless internet access in the Lobby Living Room.

Is there high speed internet or Wi-Fi available at the hotel?
Complimentary Wi-Fi is offered in all public areas of the hotel. In-room high speed wireless DSL internet access is available for purchase of $11.95 per day. Fees are subject to change without notice.

Does the hotel offer ADA Compliant Rooms?
Yes! The Portofino Hotel & Marina offers five marina side ADA accessible guest rooms. In addition to all or most features of the corresponding non-ADA room type, this room includes: ADA door viewer, Roll in shower, Shower grip bars, an ADA compliant closet with a lower height, an ADA compliant A/C thermostat at lower height and a wheelchair accessible balcony.

What recreational amenities does The Portofino Hotel & Marina offer?
Forgot your pool floaties? The front desk has plenty of family-fun beach accessories, chairs and towels for purchase or rent. Complimentary Beach Cruiser Bikes are available, based on availably in 2hr time increments to all guests staying at the hotel. Tickets to Hollywood Tours, Universal Studios and Long Beach aquarium can also be arranged. Amenities and tickets are based on availability.

What are the restaurants in the hotel?
BALEENkitchen, the Oceanfront restaurant at The Portofino Hotel & Marina, was recently awarded a Zagat rating as among the “Top 10 Best Restaurants for Waterside Dining in Los Angeles,” for the second consecutive year. Zagat, the worldʼs leading provider of consumer survey for restaurants, ranked the restaurant, ʻextraordinary to perfectʼ in all categories; food, décor, service and cost.

BALEENkitchen features regional-influenced gastropub cuisine, blending local product and character into a refined menu —all with a strong sense of local SoCal identity. ʻThe Loungeʼ features small-plates fare, a serious mixology program of ʻClassic Reinvented Cocktailsʼ and live music three nights a week. The culinary team utilizes quality local ingredients to create authentically Southern Californian cuisine served in a chic, welcoming atmosphere.

Weekend guests and local diners alike may spice-up their experience with the new ʻMake Your Own – Bloody Mary Bar,ʼ featuring 40 different satisfying ingredients to make each concoction tailored to specific tastes. Do you have onsite laundry service?
Radiant Services Corp provides efficient overnight laundry services. Laundry bags and order forms are located in each guest room closet.

Does the hotel offer smoking/nonsmoking areas?
The Portofino Hotel & Marina guest rooms and public facilities are 100% smoke-free.

Is there a fee to use the Fitness Center?
No, 24/7 access to the Fitness Center in included in your room reservation cost.

Do you allow pets?
The Portofino Hotel & Marina allows service dogs in all hotel rooms and public areas. Apartment tenants may be granted pet permission based on availability and an additional pet deposit.

I love The Portofino Hotel & Marina, what if I never want to leave?
You’re in luck! Full time residence is available through our Apartment Rental Office. Thirty (30) day minimum stay required. Monthly rentals range from $2,500 - $5,500 per month. Please contact Elina de Laroche at 310-798-5869 for additional information and availability.

Do you have open boat slips in the Portofino Marina?
Our 181-slip harbor features sun drenched marina views and new state of the art docks. Slip lease includes complete hotel access to our Pool, 24 hour Fitness & Business center as well as a standard concession in acclaimed BALEENkitchen. In addition to being ADA accessible, the Portofino Hotel’s Marina includes two parking passes per slip, on site laundry and updated restroom facilities. What Initiatives has the hotel taken to ‘Go Green’ and facilitate in environmentally friendly service?
The Portofino Hotel & Marina has initiated an effort to improve its environmental performance in all aspects of its operations. As you know, hotels have a variety of impacts on the environment, from energy and water use to the choice of cleaning products and paper goods. As we pursue efforts to improve our environmental performance, we would like to minimize our impacts as much as possible.

The Portofino Hotel & Marina was chosen in no small part for its natural beauty - so it's fitting that we have a commitment to preserving our location’s beauty and conserving our natural setting. The Portofino Hotel & Marina is located in one of the city's most stunning settings. Here are some of the things we're doing to make sure it stays that way:

Our guestrooms predominantly use fluorescent bulbs rated at 13W versus a standard 40-60W incandescent. Additionally, sensors located in the guestroom indicate a guestroom is vacant. After a set amount of time, lights in a vacant room will turn off to save energy.

Hotel room televisions use energy efficient LCD and LED backlighting. This backlighting consumes less energy than a traditional CRT tube or Plasma TV.

Air Conditioning sensors located on the balcony doors and windows will turn off the Air Conditioning unit if a door or window is opened. Sensors located on the Guestroom entry door activate and deactivate the Air Conditioning unit upon your entrance and exit of your room. Our sophisticated Air Conditioning system also senses when there is more than one person in the room to provide additionally cooling.

Our Ultra Low Flush toilets use 0.6 gallons per flush as opposed to the standard 1.7gpf.

Noble Nature is the Noble House Hotels & Resorts signature conservancy program, offering guests a choice of whether they wish to have their rooms serviced. When our guests choose to not have their room serviced daily, precious amounts of water are conserved, chemical exposure from cleaning agents is minimized, and energy usage lessened. Anyone who opts to not have their room serviced daily will receive their choice of offered reward.

Traditional plastic key cards are made from PVC - poly vinyl chloride based plastic which is part of a highly toxic manufacturing process. Our room keys are made with our special biodegradable stock! Recycled paper is used for all printed materials when possible.

Enrique Cuevas of BALEENkitchen is integrating our menu with local products and using fresh, seasonal produce whenever possible. Additionally, we use green practices when caring for the restaurant and hotel grounds by fostering a friendly habitat for native flora and fauna.

Recognizing the importance of safer cleaning products for guests and employees as well as the natural environment is very important. We have shifted to more cleaning products that are made with bio-based oils and other natural cleaners.

Our custom formulated bath amenities are not individually packaged. By using larger bottles, we are able to cut down on the amount of plastic we use.
