Located in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County, Torrance offers 1.5 miles of beach coastline. It is less populated than its neighborhood cities and offers one of the largest malls in the United States. Torrance, California is a city of slightly over 140,000 residents. It is located in Los Angeles County, twenty-five minutes southwest of Los Angeles. Torrance is part of the Los Angeles–Long Beach–Santa Ana metropolitan area, which is the second largest in the United States with a population of over 12.9 million people. Torrance Beach
Torrance Beach is a beautiful, soft sand beach framed by the hills of Palos Verdes south of Redondo Beach. The one and a half miles of smooth sand is lifeguard patrolled and offers swings for kids, volleyball nets, bath house facilities and public parking for a small fee. You must park on a hill above and walk down sets of stairs or a ramp to gain access to the beach, where you can swim, surf, play and wander along several coves. King’s Hawaiian Bakery and Restaurant
